| The produced fiber has a very good dyeing affinity and can be produced as staple fiber or under the form of tow for the tow-to-top conversion.
In the wet-spinning procedure, offered by NoyEngineering, the acrylic polymer is dissolved in a solvent to form a highly viscous solution, i.e. a dope.
The spinning process has the advantage of avoiding two process steps, i.e., polymer isolation or drying and subsequent dissolution.
The spinning dope obtained is deaerated and extruded through a spinneret with tens of thousands holes with diameters from 0.05 to 0.15 mm, depending on the particular fiber diameter, i.e., tex or denier, desired for the given application. The spinning speed at the exit of the spin bath can be 5 - 15 m/min.
The key points of NoyEngineering's spinning technology are the careful selection of spin bath conditions, temperature and jet stretch, as well as the polymer composition and dope concentration.
